


Lifeguarding/Aquatics Courses
The American Red Cross r.24 Lifeguarding course equips participants to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies—covering both in‑water and on‑land rescue skills, as well as professional‑level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS arrives. The certification is valid for two years. The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers (CPRO) course is tailored for persons with a duty to act (such as lifeguards, EMS, fire personnel) and teaches response to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants, including use of an AED and advanced techniques like bag‑valve‑mask ventilations and team-based CPR.

It includes care for breathing, cardiac, and injury-related emergencies and the use of rescue equipment until EMS arrives. Participants must meet swimming requirements, and those who pass earn a two-year certification.

Lifeguarding Recertification Course
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding Recertification course is for currently certified lifeguards who need to renew for another two years. It includes online review plus in-person skills practice and testing, covering timed rescues, surveillance, CPR/AED, and team response drills.

CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers
The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course trains duty-to-act responders—such as lifeguards and EMS personnel—to handle breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. It covers high-quality CPR, AED use, rescue breathing, airway obstruction, and team-based response.

CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor
The American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor Course prepares candidates to teach CPR, AED, and emergency response skills. It combines online and in-person training on teaching methods, course management, and skill evaluation. Candidates must hold current CPR/AED certification, demonstrate competence, and pass written and practical exams.

American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding is designed
to guide youth to the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course by building a foundation of knowledge, attitudes and skills for future lifeguards. Participants are not required to master or perfectly execute skills. They should learn techniques and build stamina during
this program.

Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies in shallow water up to 5 feet and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over.

Shallow Water Lifeguarding Recertification
The Lifeguarding Recertification course is designed to refresh your knowledge and skills. Upon successful completion, you will renew your certification for another two years.

Waterfront and Waterpark Modules
The American Red Cross Waterfront Skills Module is an add-on for lifeguards working in open water like lakes or camps, focusing on deep-water rescues, underwater searches, and handling low-visibility environments. The Waterpark Skills Module is designed for lifeguards at waterparks and emphasizes surveillance in crowded, fast-moving attractions like slides and wave pools, along with managing high guest volume.

Ready Rescue Training will come to you! We will train your lifeguards (waterfront/waterpark) for you! All you need to do is fill out the form below! We also train pool attendants/slide attendants in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer (CPRO). This equips participants with the knowledge on how to respond to aquatic related emergencies with an emphasis on team rescues.
